#4 Priyam Garg- Sun Risers Hyderabad
Priyam Garg captained the Indian Under-19 team, which lost to Bangladesh in the final of the WC that took place in South Africa earlier this year. Even though he didn’t have the best of tournaments by any means, Garg is one of the youngsters to watch out for. SRH invested in him by buying his services for a huge sum of 1.9 crores at the 2020 IPL auctions for the talent that he possesses.
His record in the first-class and List A level have been outstanding so far in his short career. In T20s, he strikes decently at 132.74 for every 100 balls he faces from 11 matches, having made his debut for Uttar Pradesh at the Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy in 2019.
More than the stats, his cool calm head, and his leadership qualities make the 19-year-old right-handed batsman a long term prospect for SRH. These attributes can pave way for his IPL debut in 2020.
#3 Devdutt Padikal- Royal Challengers Bangalore
Devdutt Padikal was picked by the RCB in 2019 but didn’t get a single game. But the prospect of playing this season looks much brighter for him.
Padikal was the leading run-getter in the 2019 edition of both the Vijay Hazare Trophy with 609 runs in just 11 games as well as the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy where he had a remarkable outing scoring 580 runs at an average of over 64 while batting at a strike rate of 175.75 for Karnataka.
With RCB looking for an attacking Indian option at the top, the 20-year old could be an ideal contender which can take the pressure off Virat Kohli and Ab De Villiers. He might very well fit into the top order of the Challengers.
